What People (and pups) Say

"Amazing Dogs and People!"

"A Second Chance"

“Fostering with Mitten Mutts Dog Rescue has been really rewarding! We enjoy being a positive transition for dogs from the shelter to their forever homes. MMDR's leadership is easy to work with and are always there to answer questions and address concerns. We've met so many amazing dogs and people!.”

John & Aileen, MMDR Fosters Since February 2020

“At the shelter, I was the malnourished dog that looked sad and was scared of everyone even though I just wanted to be loved. One of the best moments was when my foster mom came and picked me up. I was so happy that all I could do was give her kisses and when we got home I snuggled my foster dad right away. They helped me gain weight and get rid of my worms. They taught me commands and what it was like to be truly loved. It's because of them I found a family I get to share my life with. I'm so happy in my new home and appreciative of the one true gift my foster family provided me...a second chance.”

"Love to Support the Underdogs!"

“Fostering with MMDR is one of the best decisions I've ever made! My reason for choosing to work with this rescue was that it's not breed-specific. Mitten Mutts truly loves to support the underdogs! All of the volunteers are eager to help at a moment's notice and make you feel very welcome and appreciated.”

"I Love Hoomans!"

“Before my foster mom came and got me from Animal Control, I didn't know what a normal life was like. My normal was wondering when I would be fed next, and not getting much attention from hoomans which made me very sad because I RUFF HOOMANS! I lived with my foster mom and dad, and my fur brother and sister for two months. I was very sad to leave them, but guess what...I went to an event better home! I didn't know this was possible! I now spend my time napping, eating, getting pets, napping, and laying in the sun watching for squirrels. WIthout MMDR, who knows where I would have ended up!”
